Position Summary

W.D. Bryant ACE Hardware is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Receivable and Finance Manager to oversee our AR operations and support our overall financial strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on manager who is passionate about both financial health and our customer-centric culture. Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Optimize Collections: Manage the entire collections process, including generating and analyzing AR aging reports, establishing collection strategies, and communicating with customers regarding overdue accounts.
  • Enhance Billing and Invoicing: Oversee accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and billing adjustments for all customer accounts.
  • Improve Cash Flow: Implement strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding and improve working capital.
  • Conduct Credit Analysis: Evaluate credit limits and terms for new and existing customers by reviewing financial data and credit reports. Conduct credit checks for new accounts.

Financial Management and Strategy:

  • Audit Preparation: Act as a key point of contact for external audits, providing accurate financial documentation and support.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain strong internal accounting controls and ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify and implement enhancements to financial and AR processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Or) A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable and finance. Experience in the retail or building materials industry is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, QuickBooks). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Attributes: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.
